Currently in Seattle, WA.  I should be back around June 1st.  This place sucks!  I don’t ever want to live anywhere in the states.  I can’t wait to get back to Okinawa.

I’m planning new things for my photography.  I’m going to create shopping carts, have price lists, and maybe have a third party company handle my sales and printing.  Since I’m starting a small business, I’ll be paying taxes so everything I do will have a receipt.  I am going to concentrate on quality not quantity.  When I get back I should have my new waterhousing in the post office.  I am now fully equipt with all the photo equipment I need (finally).

So here’s the deal, all photographs taken up until May 31, 2008 will have a flat rate of $5/500 yen for each digital copy(personal use license).  One month later, June 30,  all photos will be deleted up until May 31, 2008.  I’ll only keep the excellent ones for my portfolio and for stock photos/prints.  The ones that I will keep will still be available for purchase any time.  But after June 30, 2008 it will be at a set price.  To get an idea of what I will be charging, you can go to the similar websites and see how much they charge…

So there you have it, $5 or 500 yen for each picture untill May 31, 2008.  Tell your friends!  Tell everybody.  Once the pictures get deleted, they’re gone forever.

Hey, if anybody trade stocks or have a broker and maybe thinking of making a switch, check these guys out.  I use to be with etrade and they sucked.  Etrade had all kines of fees.  Zecco.com is definately worth checking out.  AND, no other broker offers $50 for each referral.  I know maybe you’re thinking, “I knew there was catch” but Zecco is seriously a good broker for just trading and nothing else.  But you don’t have to take my word, check for yourself.

I only shot one session in the past 2 weeks and I haven’t posted it yet.  I’ve been busy study for the next stripe.  I test in a week so you probably wont see any updates till then.  I might have time to post the gallery from last week before the weekend but I’m not really sure.  Anyways, I hope me studying pays off!Latuhz, JOSH

Out of the 4 years I’ve been doing surf photography, this is the most sessions I’ve done for the month of January.  And we still got one more day.  I don’t think the conditions will be good though.  We’ll see…

Man!  I haven’t done this in a while (post pics the same day I took them).  Shots came out good even though it was cloudy/drizzling.  Waves were only waist high but the groms made it look chest/head high.  When I first came to Okinawa I wondered why there are no kids surfing.  And about 12 years passed and finally we got some.  Eventually these kids will become the best surfers Okinawa have to offer in about 5 years.  Just gotta keep them away from drinking (heavily) and smoking.  If they can grow up and not do those things, they’ll be in a whole different league than the current Okinawan surfers.  Anyways, check the gallery out.

Conditions for taking pictures were crappy.  Cloudy and drizzling off and on.  Oh well, what else am I going to do while recovering from my foot surgery?  Last week was the the first time I edited pictures in a long time and I almost forgot how to do it.  But I got it back now.  Even taking pictures, my timing was a little off.  But I got it back after a couple of sessions.
